Description:The 48-hour EQIT Curriculum provides a solid introduction to infant and toddler development, with a focus on providing quality group care for our youngest children. The EQIT course builds on the knowledge and experiences of infant and toddler caregivers through interesting, interactive and fun activities. With funding provided by the Colorado Department of Education and the Douglas County Early Childhood Coalition. These trainings will have limited space available and you MUST attend the orientation and all classes to receive your certificate. Classes are every week on Mondays and Wednesdays staring May 14th through July 23rd. Space is limited and spots will be filled on a first come first served basis.
Additional information:The EQIT Curriculum has been approved by the Division of Child Care as one of the classes that can be used for Lead Teacher Qualifications when the new rules become effective in 2010.The Expanding Quality in Infant Toddler Care curriculum covers the following topics:Emotional Development, Language Development Responsive Care, LiteracyFamily Partnerships, Physical Development Safety, Health, and Nutrition, CultureLearning Environments, Children with Special Needs Curriculum and ProfessionalismYou must attend the orientation on May 14 and all of the classes to get your certificate!!
