Family Partnerships Questionnaire

Because children are more likely to be successful learners when families work together with teachers to support children’s growth and development, Qualistar Colorado assesses an early learning program’s efforts to build partnerships with families as one component of program quality. Early learning programs are expected to have goals for working with families and an ongoing plan of activities to meet those goals. These goals should be developed jointly with parents and teachers and with the needs and interests of families and children in mind.

Questionnaires are distributed to families asking them to report on the level of communication they have with the early learning program about their child’s activities and progress, opportunities for them to take an informed, active role in their child’s development and education, and how the early learning program serves as a parent support resource.

In addition, the early learning program is asked to provide documentation of activities designed to support Family Partnerships.
