FREE TRAINING FOR CHILD CARE PROVIDERS!

What is I am Moving, I am Learning?

I am Moving, I am Learning (IMIL) is a proactive approach for addressing childhood obesity in young children. Please join us for this interactive and engaging workshop to learn about:
  • Promising practices and developmentally appropriate physical activity guidelines for preschool age children.
  • Current research related to obesity prevention and recommend strategies to improve the quality of physical activity for young children.
  • How to increase the quantity of time spent in moderate to vigorous physical activity (MVPA) during the daily routine to meet national guidelines for physical activity.
  • How to improve the quality of structured movement experiences intentionally facilitated by teachers and adults.

This training is free of cost. Dinner will be provided. Each participant will receive activity binders and materials to begin implementing content right away!

You will also receive a certificate for three hours of professional development in Child Health Promotion.

Special Note: We are also looking for several committed trainees that would like to train others. These trainees will be compensated for future trainings.
