We are seeking an Early Childhood Part time Assistant Teacher to join our team for the 2016-17 school year. Our ideal assistant candidate has familiarity with and interest in Waldorf education, and experience working with young children.

Job Summary
To help in creating an exceptional Waldorf Early Childhood/Kindergarten experience for our mixed-age classrooms. The candidate will be expected to work cooperatively with the Class Lead Teacher to support the morning activities of the class, and assist with lunch and rest time. Lead the extended care at 3:30. Hours are from 11:00am--5:30pm

• Serve a mixed-age Early Childhood Waldorf Class
• Festival support and participation
• Parent education, including Parent Evenings
• Classroom preparation and upkeep
• Outreach support, including Tours and Open Houses
• Participation in weekly Faculty Meetings and weekly Early Childhood Meetings

Ideal Candidate will possess:
• Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Experience teaching or assisting in a Waldorf Early Childhood program.
• Completion of Waldorf Early Childhood training from an accredited institution.
• Early Childhood Teacher Qualification from the Colorado Department of Human Services, Division of Child Care.

Boulder Valley Waldorf School, founded in 1993, is a Pre-KG through Eighth Grade School in Niwot, Colorado. We are a full WECAN member and a Developing School on the path to AWSNA membership.

Preference is given to candidates who are ECT certified per state of Colorado requirements.
CPR, First Aid, Universal Precautions, and Medication Administration trainings required (can be completed after hire).
