- Reviews health, safety and nutrition practices
- Assist in developing and carrying out written health policies
- Provide on-site classroom consultation
- Provide nutrition and feeding information
- Provide and link to community mental health resources
- Provide health and safety training
- Delegate and supervise Medication Administration
- Support child care providers who care for children with special health care needs
- Delegate and supervise special health procedures
- Be available to staff to discuss all health concerns
