Health and Safety Training for the Child Care Health Consultant (CCHC) or Child Care Provider
Child Care Health Consultant (CCHC)
While there is currently no training requirement for the CCHC working with child care programs, there are two training options available tobetter inform the CCHC about this important role within the child care community.
On-line CCHC Training
This training is meant to be an introduction to Child Care Health Consultation work in Colorado center-based child care programs. There is no charge to take this online course. You do need to register on the CO-Train site, www.co.train.org.
This training will not answer ALL of your questions about child care health consultation work, but instead will give you at least some idea of the primary requirements and responsibilities to the centers you serve. For any questions and clarification of any of the information provided, please contact Linda Satkowiak ND, RN, CNS at lsatkowiak@qualistar.org.
It is recommended that all CCHCs take this training prior to attending a regional CCHC training day.
Please view the document below for complete, step by step instructions on registering for and accessing the CCHC training.

Several times throughout the year there are one day CCHC trainings held. For 2008, the dates are March 14, July 11, and September 26. All of these trainings will be held in the Denver area.
The agenda for these trainings may change slightly based on the determined focus area.
Future focus areas may include topics such as oral health, and social/emotional behavior in the child care setting. These agendas and applications will be posted on this site at least one month before the training date. The cost for this training is $25.00 and includes lunch and resource materials.
