Trainer and Training Approval

We believe consistent standards for trainers support a process that guides early childhood professionals in choosing training that is meaningful for the work they do. Trainings that honor the principles of adult learning and are well designed provide for the director, teacher and family child care home provider a consistent level of quality assurance.

Qualistar Colorado in collaboration with the Colorado Office of Professional Development has instituted the Trainer/Trainings Approval System of Colorado (TTASC). TTASC serves as a quality assurance mechanism for early care and learning professional development opportunities in Colorado. It plays a vital role in fostering credibility, uniformity and consistency among individuals providing professional development.

Trainer Approval

Trainer Approval serves as a quality assurance process for early childhood trainers in Colorado. The Trainer Approval process gives trainers the opportunity to show they have experience and formal education in early childhood, as well as knowledge of adult learning principles and sound training design.

Although Trainer Approval is currently voluntary, going through the process confers credibility and professional status. As an Approved Trainer, you offer early childhood educators assurance that you are well-informed and knowledgeable about the topic(s) you present, and that you understand adult learning styles and principles.
