At Qualistar, we’re constantly looking for opportunities to support early care and education programs across Colorado. That’s why we’ve expanded our capacity to help elevate the quality of daily practices and build safe, supportive learning environments.
As safe and age-appropriate outdoor play spaces are critical for programs to promote healthy lifestyles and support active learning, we now offer Certified Playground Safety Inspections. The inspection and report make it easier for programs to identify issues and repair unsafe equipment, as well as plan for short-term and long-term playground improvements. We now have two assessors who are nationally certified to do the Certified Playground Safety Inspections identified in the Child Health Promotion component of the Colorado Shines Level 3-5 assessment. This playground assessment is available to all early care and education programs across Colorado. The cost for Certified Playground Safety Inspections is $250 (travel costs and schedule restrictions may increase the price). Learn more and schedule a Certified Playground Safety Inspection here
We’re also offering free
Facility Assessment and Consultation services that make it easier for nonprofit
early care and education programs to plan for short-term and long-term facility improvements. These assessments help to improve safety and accessibility and make a space more conducive to learning. Thanks to generous funding from the Boettcher Foundation, Qualistar is offering nonprofit early care and education centers in Adams, Arapahoe, Denver, Douglas and Jefferson counties free Facility Assessments and Consultations (if you are not located in one of these counties, please contact us
and we may be able to provide this service to your program). Learn more about eligibility and schedule your Facility Assessment here
Finally, our staff are always actively working to develop and grow their professional skill sets. Colleen Hennessy, Quality Rating Specialist, is now CLASS Infant certified and Kim Steele has assumed the position of Quality Rating Specialist/Early Childhood Trainer! We are thrilled to have their expertise on our training and assessment teams.
