Qualistar Colorado’s Second-Annual Quality Symposium was a great success!

Posted on June 1, 2011 in Professional Development

Held Saturday, May 7th at the Arvada Center for the Arts, our morning session presenter, Emily Adams from Zero to Three, spoke on the importance of Supporting Continuity of Teacher-Child Relationships for Young Children. Our afternoon session included group work facilitated by five Quality Improvement coaches from across the state (Shela Blankinship, Patty Gardner, Joni Goodwin, Lisa Sadar, and Jane Wilkinson), as well as goal-setting, individual reflection, and partner sharing. Thirty early childhood education teachers, directors, and support staff returned to their communities (from Aurora to Durango) with a renewed vigor for establishing meaningful teacher-child relationships and an action plan for implementation. Overall, we could not be more pleased with the results and are so grateful to all who helped make it possible!
