Description:This course provides an overview of social and emotional health and development and how these concepts are addressed in the new Quality Rating and Improvement System. Learner will be able to: Identify the importance of and apply specific strategies for building relationships with children, families, and colleagues. Identify teaching approaches that promote children’s social-emotional skills and positive behaviors. Describe strategies to implement responsive routines and environments to support children’s social-emotional development. Complete the Social and Emotional Health and Development items of the Colorado Shines Points Structure Self-Assessment Receive in-person on-site instruction and 2 credit hours per PDIS course completed (all earned credits can be used toward your required 15 annual hours).
