This training will help you as a child care health consultant, director, teacher, coach or mental health consultant learn to use a variety of mindfulness and situational awareness techniques to increase your presence when caring for and educating young children.
Based on his extensive teaching and more than 20 years practicing meditation, Jerome Stone, RN, will lead participants in a day of experiential and informational learning. Participants will leave the class with a solid understanding of how to use the methods presented in their classrooms as they work with children and families.
Jerome Stone is a long-time practitioner of meditation, with an emphasis on the study of cross-cultural contemplative practices. He has also been trained in and teaches Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. He lives in Boulder, Colorado, with his wife, Jill, and their son, Noah.
Participants will receive 5.5 training hours in Health, Safety & Nutrition.
