How do I apply?
The Denver Preschool Program is proud to offer the DPP T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Scholarship Program to a select number of teachers, directors and/or family child care home providers who work at Denver County DPP providers and work with DPP-eligible children (children who live in Denver and are in their final year of preschool before kindergarten).
Each DPP T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Scholarship is administered by Qualistar Colorado.
DPP offers four scholarship models:
- associate degree
- bachelor's degree
- pathway to credential (to obtain or increase a Colorado early childhood professional credential)
- positive-teacher child interactions (combining coursework, coaching and an observation for professional development purposes)
Applicants must also submit a center participation agreement when they apply. Download the appropriate form below.
Upon receipt of a completed application, Qualistar will process your scholarship request. If scholarships are available, you will receive an acceptance letter and packet with information indicating next steps.

The Denver Preschool Program makes quality preschool possible for all Denver families with 4-year-old children through a dedicated sales tax first approved by voters in 2006 and renewed in 2014. DPP has provided more than $67 million in tuition support and more than $10 million in preschool quality improvements to help more than 36,000 Denver children attend the preschool of their families’ choice, establishing each child’s foundation for lifelong learning and success.
